New Production — Manufactured Housing Park Program

The Need
Currently, the median sales price of a new house exceeds $240,000 in some parts of the state, making new homes out of reach for many low- and moderate-income families and individuals.

A Solution
The Loan Fund is using its 24 years of experience with manufactured housing financing and organizing to explore how manufactured housing can be used to meet new housing production needs in New Hampshire.  Its first development is Pepperidge Woods, a 44-site development in Barrington, NH.  In it, the Loan Fund's New Production team is striving to demonstrate the durability, affordability and aesthetic appeal of modern manufactured housing. Further, we are seeking to show how land use regulations developed for land-lease park developers can be utilized to produce high-density, resident-owned neighborhoods in which homebuyers have access to conventional financing.
